With a 58mm modular size and armed with PROFINET Input/Output, the CEV582M-10580 is a capable performer in the industry 4.0 environment with its small-from-factor lending its application to instances where physical size is a factor. With a fast start-up protocol (FSU) and fractions for gear factor this absolute rotary encoder is ideal for isochronous applications. A media redundancy protocol allows ethernet switches to overcome any single point failure with a recovery time that is much faster a spanning tree protocol.

Designed for Industry 4.0 applications and equipped with a cycle time of less than 1ms for updating encoder values, the CEV582M-10580 is perfect for fast position control allowing users to easily find standard parameters. The time base of the speed evaluation can be freely set in the range of one millisecond to one second and can also be scaled in any units. This absolute rotary encoder provides for all the necessary alarm and diagnostic messages for long-term machine and system monitoring that you will need.
