A cost effect Single Phase Type 2 (or 3) Surge Protector, ideal for protecting critical load equipment that absolutely must be protected and safe from catastrophic failure! From essential hospital equipment to critical process control machinery, this compact Type 2 or Type 3 surge protection device is the perfect SPD solution to transient overvoltage issues caused by switching.
To comply with the latest 18th Edition of the IET all new electrical installations and existing ones being modified must be adequately protected from rogue transient overvoltage. Type 2/3 SPDs must be used in conjunction with a Type 1 device to ensure full system protection.
