Isolated Barrier, Single Channel, 24 VDC, Switching Amplifier
This single channel isolated barrier is used for intrinsic safety applications. It transfers digital signals from proximity sensors and approved mechanical contacts from a hazardous area to a safe area.
Dependable, the Switch Amplifier also has additional protective circuitry to help maintain a reliable safety function. The input (from, for example, a proximity sensor) controls one relay contact output with 3 NO contacts (one output is in series to both output relays for the safety function), one relay contact output with one NO contact, and one passive transistor output.
This switch amplifier monitors lead breakage and short circuit conditions are continuously monitored and during an error condition, fault output energises and outputs I and II are de-energized.
