Retractable Sensor, Oval Type Reed Switch
Designed for use within traditional T-slots on pneumatic cylinders, this retractable sensor is reed switch (hall effect) based with normal open contacts. The sensor is located within a traditional T-slot on a Metal Work branded pneumatic cylinder and secured with a Allen key based fixing screw. When the cylinder is operated, depending on the location of the internal ram and the relative position of the retractable sensor, determines the opening or closing of the switch and thus any response determined by the supporting monitoring system.
Retractable sensors are utilised in many industrial applications, that require the monitoring of pneumatic actuator rams, including robotics, process jigging, machine tools and guarding, safety applications and many more.
