The Legrand  606416 Type B Residential RCBO (Residual Current Breaker with Over Current) has been designed to  help protect electrical components and systems from two types of faults. This modular unit combines the functionality of an MCB and an RCD (residual current device) into one slim-line unit and has been designed for residential installations, used in conjuction with MCBs, Contactors and isolating switches.

Residual current or earth leaks can occur when there is an accidental break in a circuit caused by poor electrical wiring or when a power cable has been cut through. Over-current comes primarily in two forms, overload caused by too many circuit devices and by a short circuit. This capable single module Type B RCBO features the best of both worlds, combining an MCB that protects against short circuits and overloads with an RCD that protects against earth-leakage issues.
