Hybrid photoelectric proximity sensor with a detection range of 25 to 700 mm, the WM range of proximity sensors are the first with a unique touch-screen display. The IO-Link and a visible red laser light, with a 0.4 mm diameter spot size at 250 mm, makes set-up and installation a breeze. The touchscreen display is intuitive to use and simplifies setting the sensing range and configuring sensors parameters, while the IO-Link is used for the configuring the sensor parameters and Smart Task functions.

This photoelectric cell sensor has been designed for ease of use with a range of modes – speed, standard, precision and multimode. The Multimode functions and configurations, including foreground and background suppression, can be selected via the intuitive touch display. With exceptional performance due to a highly accurate laser triangulation system with line scanning, and the rugged stainless steel housing and IP69k rating means this sensor is ideally suited to harsh environments.

The proximity sensor has a variety of operating modes and configurations so that it can be adapted to the specific applications to extract the best possible performance. The display provides an array of operational information including the mode of operation, output states, distance values and set points, and LED indicators provide additional operational status information.
